What Is Coaching?

Coaching is all about self-development and learning new ways of living your life in order to create positive and lasting change. More specifically, it is a confidential and collaborative partnership between coach and client in a thought-provoking and creative process which inspires the client to maximize their personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation and development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy or action plan for achieving these goals.

As your coach, I am here to inspire you to find your place in the world and to help you discover how to bring about change so you feel more satisfied and fulfilled. In our sessions together, I help you become more aware of what is going on for you in your life, both good and not so good, how it is affecting you and what might need to change. We will explore the attitudes, behaviours, perceptions and beliefs that support what’s important to you or that interfere with your progress, hold you back and stop you from doing the things you want to do.

As well as using standard, well developed coaching techniques during our sessions, I weave in various practical tools such as centering and breathing exercises along with visualisation and imagery all designed to raise your awareness, gain more clarity, increase your resilience skills and stimulate your creativity. Over time, you will begin to notice that every decision, action, thought and feeling you have relates, or not, to your ultimate goals and where you want to be and this observation enables you to make choices to create deep-rooted and satisfying change in all areas of your life in line with your vision and what you desire most. Gradually, personal growth and transformation become possible as:

  • you gain clarity around where you are going and the impact you want to make on the world;
  • you feel stronger and more confident at your very core; and
  • you begin to feel more empowered.

My coaching is offered to people from all walks of life and covers a wide range of personal and professional development including coping with daily stress, challenging relationships, low self-confidence, time management, better work-life balance and making decisions on important life transitions (leaving school, returning to work after maternity, changing jobs and embracing retirement).
